A company that manufactures wooden furniture has built a solar power plant to generate electricity for its own use. In this way, the carbon footprint of the products is reduced and surplus energy is stored in batteries for electric forklift trucks. In addition, this company has introduced software that optimizes energy consumption in production. “S.C.S. Plus” operates successfully in the village of Podvis, which is located on the site of an abandoned mining colony. The company employs around 180 locals, contributing to the diversification of the economy and the development of the local community.
