SOLAR PUMPS FOR OPTIMAL MOISTURE LEVELS IN ZASAVICA

This solution involves the use of innovative, quiet solar pumps that will provide the necessary amount of water during the dry period (from June to September) on the Valjevo pasture in Special Nature Reserve Zasavica. This will help maintain optimal moisture levels and preserve the natural annual cycle of plant and animal species in the area, without disturbing birds during their nesting period. These pumps are suitable for use in various types of habitats with groundwater and can also be utilized for efficient water management in other protected areas. The solution contributes to the preservation of  wet meadows in SRP Zasavica, a habitat of exceptional national and international importance, which is home to rare, endemic, and endangered species.
