RENOVATION OF “VALJEVCA” PASTURE FOR BIOMASS AND THE FIRST CITY MEDOMAT

This solution involves reinstating the ‘Valjevac’ pasture, the heart of the Zasavica special nature preserve. Invasive species of shrubbery and trees will be removed from the area in the first stage. These will serve as biomass for manufacturing briquettes to be distributed to socially vulnerable groups. As sources of high-quality pollen, minor groups of the false indigo bush will be used for honeymaking that is intended for sale at the honey vending machines in Zasavica. In this way the project intends to set up a sustainable approach to selling food and to contribute to the preservation and replenishing of the biodiversity at the Zasavica special nature preserve.
