PROTECTION OF ENDANGERED OWL SPECIES IN TARA NATIONAL PARK

"Center for Biodiversity Research" Association

This solution has created better conditions for the reproduction and protection of the strictly protected Eurasian pygmy owl (Glaucidium passerinum) and the boreal owl (Aegolius funereus) populations within the territory of the Tara National Park. Habitat improvement has been achieved through various methods, such as the installation of artificial nests, mapping owl territories, as well as monitoring and tagging migratory birds. Additionally, recommendations have been provided to enhance the management plan of the Tara National Park.
