This solution contributes to preservation of biodiversity through monitoring and expert analysis of nesting colony of the strictly protected European population of the bee-eater (Merops apiaster), preservation of their habitat, and presentation of the Protected Landscape of Outstanding Features of “Islands and Cliffs near Slankamen”. This has been achieved through the involvement of the local population in the nature preservation processes, with the active participation of natural resources managers, and their acquaintance with the importance of the preservation of species, biodiversity, as well as geo-diversity.
