Household heating using poor quality biomass and devices that do not comply with environmental standards is a significant source of air pollution. This innovative solution develops a new and improved heating source in pellet form. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will first investigate the properties of pellet available in the market and compare it with this pellet mix and several types of additives, in order to examine opportunities to enhance its performance. The testing stage of this new and improved heating source will serve as a basis for recommendations for its manufacture and placement on the local market.
