The solution aimed to preserve and improve the habitats of many strictly protected and protected wildlife species, as well as to preserve the wetland in the Special Nature Reserve of “Okanj Marsh”. The conducted activities refer to improving water management in the region, regulating and cleaning the canal and banks, as well as building trails along the canal. This solution has enabled aligning of the needs of farming, animal husbandry and hunting with the obligation of preserving nature − to preserve the habitats of the protected and strictly protected species.
