The aim of this solution was to contribute to the coexistence of the local population and large carnivores in the territory of the Special Nature Reserve “Uvac” and the National Park “Tara”. As part of the preventive measures, protective electric fences were installed in two pilot sites where incidents involving large carnivores have been recorded, such as depredation of livestock and damage to beehives. In addition, educational workshops for protected area managers and local population were held, aiming to raise awareness about protected species of large carnivores.
