IMPROVING AIR QUALITY AND REDUCING ENERGY POVERTY

In order to improve air quality in Užice, the city administration replaced old, inefficient, and polluting furnaces in 65 socially vulnerable households with replacements that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly. In addition, the City has initiated setting up of the City of Užice Energy Efficiency Fund to support energy vulnerable households by the ones that are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, according to predefined conditions and procedures with funds from the city budget as well as with assistance from private companies doing business in line with CSR principles.
