The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade has upgraded and equipped the laboratory in its Innovation Centre so that it can start testing and developing new technologies for future “green” internal combustion engines that use hydrogen as fuel. This is the first operational engine installation in Serbia with a hydrogen engine. This innovation reduces CO2 emissions by 74.5 tonnes per year. In addition, new generations of engineers were able to participate in the research and development of engines with zero CO2 emissions.
