This initiative supports an innovative software infrastructure based on blockchain technology that enables data travelling between “smart” electricity metres and remote devices to be encrypted and then decrypted only on the receiving device. In this way, data security and transparent records of electricity consumption measurements of “prosumers”, i.e. consumers/producers, are guaranteed. The initiative makes it possible to expand the energy market, harmonise the stakeholders more quickly and facilitate the trade between them.
