This solution aims to address the use of harmful pesticides in growing peppers for ajvar in Gazdare, near Radan Nature Park, by producing a natural insect repellent from pepper residues. Its basis is capsaicin, which is extracted from pepper waste. This environmentally friendly repellent deters insects, birds, and rodents without harming them. The initiative promotes circular economy by turning waste from pepper production into a valuable product, reducing the ecological impact of farming near protected areas, and offering a sustainable alternative to chemical pesticides.
