Public enterprise “Resavica” deals with the exploitation of coal in nine mines in Serbia. The goal of the project is to improve the existing museum display in the Senj mine (Senjski Rudnik) by reconstructing the entryway of the museum and restoring the space of the former loading station to its original state from the 1900s, based on archival documentation. Industrialization in Serbia began in the Senj mine back in 1853, and it is the only mine that has been operating for 170 years and is nearing the end of its life of exploitation. After the closure of this mine, the mining colony will be turned into an Eco-museum, which will exhibit the way of life and work in the mining area. This will contribute to the creation of new jobs in the field of tourism.
