Mobisan – a mobile solar power generator – is the product of a mixed team of engineers and agronomists, designed specifically for small and medium-sized family farms, as 95% of registered farms in Serbia have less than 10 hectares of land. The device works on solar and wind energy, which replaces diesel fuel, saving money and protecting the environment from pollution. Moreover, and this is no less important, it leads to a 30% increase in yield. Mobisan collects microclimate and soil data and uses this data to automatically irrigate and fertilise the soil or pass the information on to the farmer for decision making. It sends the information wirelessly to devices such as a mobile phone. It can be controlled remotely and is designed to rationalise the use of natural resources. Mobisan gives the earth as much as it needs – no less and no more. This leads to savings, but also protects the soil from unnecessary excess chemicals.
