This solution aims to conserve and revitalise the steppe habitats and protect the endemic and relict plant species coral plant (Rindera umbellata) in the Deliblato Sands, the largest continental sand plain in Europe. It foresees combating habitat degradation caused by overgrown vegetation and invasive species such as the common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) and the tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima), as well as mitigating the risks of fires and biodiversity loss. The solution includes setting up a test site for biological methods to remove invasive plants and the restoration of 7 hectares of steppe habitat, as well as organising educational events and volunteer activities.
