This solution improves the energy efficiency of NELT’s logistics complex in Dobanovci through the introduction of a hybrid HVAC system based on geothermal heat pump technology. The system is integrated into the existing H3, H4 and TB facilities and uses geothermal energy to cover part of the complex’s heating and cooling demand, while the existing gas system is retained as a back-up energy source. This reduces natural gas consumption and CO₂ emissions, while the existing solar power plant within the complex further supports the use of renewable energy.
The solution represents an important step towards the further decarbonisation of NELT’s logistics operations and provides a basis for its future application in the planned centralised logistics facility.
