This solution aims to reduce pollution and energy consumption in Niš by introducing new, environmentally friendly technologies in several heating plants. The Majakovski heating plant introduces an innovative system for heating water with solar energy. The Jug heating plant improves wastewater treatment and the air quality monitoring system. The monitoring and control of power generation and distribution will be digitalised throughout the entire Niš district heating system, which will contribute to its efficiency and to the alignment of pollutant levels with EU standards.
