The City of Užice has replaced its inefficient solid fuel boiler with modern heating systems that use gas, pellets, and heat pumps, which has significantly reduced air pollution. In addition, the City has installed a weather station in the center to monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to temperature inversions, when pollutants remain longer in the air above the city. The collected data are integrated into the early warning system, enabling the implementation of preventive measures and the protection of sensitive population groups.
