LED SCREENS TO INFORM CITIZENS ABOUT LOCAL AIR QUALITY IN REAL TIME

CITY OF BOR

To provide timely air quality information to citizens so they can adapt their behavior and protect themselves from pollution, the City of Bor has installed three LED screens in high-traffic pedestrian areas: near the Healthcare Center, the main Post Office, and the Student Center. The screens display concentrations of pollutants and particles, including sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and suspended particles PM2.5 and PM10. They also provide health protection advice, such as limiting time outdoors or avoiding intense physical activity. In addition, a series of training sessions and panels were organized to inform citizens about pollution thresholds and recommended safe behaviors when pollutant levels exceed allowed limits.
