Unipromet employs 650 workers and specializes in manufacturing road safety equipment, noise barriers, steel pipes, vertical signage, and solar constructions. The goal of the solution is to introduce a system for regenerating hydrochloric acid at Unipromet’s hot-dip galvanizing plant, reducing the amount of hazardous waste, greenhouse gas emissions, and raw material consumption. Instead of being disposed of, waste acid is regenerated and reused in a closed-loop process with over 90% efficiency. The solution brings additional benefits: it reduces pollution, chemical consumption, and CO₂ emissions. This solution is part of a larger investment in a new hot-dip galvanizing factory and includes equipping and renovating a production hall, contributing to the introduction of the best available techniques (BAT) in the industry.
