This solution includes the modernisation of the heating and cooling system in a new residential building in Belgrade using a geothermal heat pump with an earthing switch. This enables high energy efficiency and the complete elimination of fossil fuels in the energy supply of this building. As a result, the greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants will be reduced. This innovative approach, the first of its kind in the region, will make this building a role model for the wider use of clean technologies. The building will also apply for an international EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certificate for sustainable construction.
