The City of Pančevo has improved its capacities to eliminate ragweed, a major source of allergy-causing pollen. The Law on Air Quality recognizes ragweed as an air pollutant. The City’s measures included modernizing equipment for mowing ragweed, monitoring pollen concentrations in the air, organizing ragweed removal, and conducting an outreach campaign on ragweed and its removal from households, enabling citizens of Pančevo to proactively participate in eliminating this allergen.
