This solution aims to conserve the population of the eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) in eastern Serbia through field research, use of modern technology and educational activities. The data on eagle-owl’s presence and habitat utilisation will be collected using transmitters, sound recorders and cameras at key locations, with additional protection of nests. The solution will engage the local community in workshops and awareness-raising campaigns, thus contributing to the long-term conservation of the species. Additionally,  the guidelines for the protection of nocturnal birds of prey such as the eagle-owl will be developed, for managers of protected areas and other interested parties. The experience gained will serve as a model for the protection of nocturnal birds of prey throughout Serbia.
