At the “Branko Radičević” Primary School in Popovac, coal- and wood-based heating is being replaced with a modern natural gas system in order to reduce air pollution and increase the building’s energy efficiency. By installing a gas boiler room and connecting the school to the gas network, conditions for students and staff are improved, with lower emissions of harmful substances and a cleaner environment for the local community. The project also contributes to achieving the objectives of local and national strategic documents in the fields of energy and air protection.
